I.   The Asia Micro & Macro Strategic Partners’ Alliance was formed with the Objective to offer a Strong Team, capable at the Macro levels in Malaysia – Asia to analyze the “Country” Political, Cultural, and Environmental conditions, and at the Micro levels to analyze the “Company” Operational Systems – Procedures – Approaches – and Attitudes, as well as what are the Logistic and Control Systems required to safely guide the Outsourcing – Sourcing Clients of the AMM Strategic Alliance in the needed Strategies for Profit Improvement, based on the initial analysis of their Potential Clients pertaining to:

  1. What are the Primary reasons for the Outsourcing – Sourcing Company’s present location.
  2. What are the scope of its current activities.

II.   Furthermore, a Comprehensive Study has been carried out with the objective to establish:
“What are the Key Critical Criteria for Outsourcing to Malaysia – Asia”, with the following main conclusions:

  1. The Top Management of the Outsourcing Companies must decide that the Outsourcing Process is an important Strategic Platform on which to Improve Profitability and Create Wealth.
  2. The Management and Staff of the Outsourcing Company must overcome the “Fear” of dealing with Foreign Cultures and Languages.
  3. The Study furthermore concluded from interviews with Companies which already had Outsourced,
  • A detailed Research must be conducted before any Outsourcing.
  • Focus must be on Human Resource Management – both at the Outsourcing Company and at the Company to be Outsourced to.
  • Use of Independent Professional Consultants is required to minimize mistakes as well as potential loss of profit opportunities.
  • Focus on Control Functions is of the highest importance.
  • Some of the Companies which had Outsourced to several Asian Countries, including Malaysia, had arrived at the conclusion:“Malaysia is an ideal start up place as the Culture and Political conditions are more like in Denmark (Scandinavian – Europe)”.

III.   The AMM Strategic Alliance consists of 7 Independent Partners without any equity participation between the Partners. The Roles and Functions of each are briefly dealt with at the end part of this Presentation.

MMA – Micro & Macro Approach – being the Founding Member of the AMM Strategic Alliance will for reasons of Capacity Utilization, Cost Efficiencies, Focus and Timely Follow Up carry out the following Roles and Functions:

  • Leading the Strategic Alliance .
  • Undertake the Strategic Marketing work to Outsourcing Clients as well as to the Providers for Manufacturing and Services, directly and/or through MMA Overseas Strategic Alliance Partners.
  • Coordinating the Input from Individual AMM Partners.

IV.   As a matter of Joint Strategy between the Clients and AMM – the primary aim of Outsourcing should be the continuing improvement of the business model, rather than a one time transfer.

V.   Outsourcing should not be limited to WEST to EAST, but also focus upon Outsourcing of Production and Services from EAST to WEST.

VI.   The Comprehensive Study mentioned above, concludes that the Main Roles and Functions of the AMM Strategic Alliance Partners, either directly or through the MMA Overseas Strategic Alliance Partners, are:

  1. “To introduce to the relevant Companies in the West, and in the East, the advantages as well as the calculated risks of Outsourcing - Sourcing Strategies, how to deal with those, and how to forecast the expected possible Bottom Line improvements, and Wealth Creation”.
  2. “To identify, either directly or through the MMA Overseas Strategic Alliance Partners, the most suitable Manufacturers and Services Providers to Outsource to, or Source from, and in this context whether this should be in the form of:
    a. – “Shopping Around for Off the Shelf”, best “Value For Money” Purchases – (Sourcing From)
    b. – Contract Manufacturing / Services from Service Providers – (Outsourcing To)
    c. – Joint Venture
    d. – Own Set-Up”

VII-A.   Having decided together with the Outsourcing Company which Products or Services should be Outsourced or Sourced, the Process will typically Kick Off through the AAM Strategic Alliance Partners as follows:-

The Initial “Desk Top Researches and Analysis” identifying:

  1. Which Country offers the relevant Platforms like the type of Raw Materials available, Fishery, Agricultural and Industrial Developments, Cultures, Traditions, Political, Economical and Historical Developments.
  2. Which are the 5 top relevant Industry Players producing Value For Money Products and Services, Capacity, Supply Reliability, Quality Levels, Cost Efficient Production, Financial Strength, as well as who are their major customers, and their market reputations.

VII-B.   The selection of the Preferred Product or Service Provider with the involvement of the Outsourcing – Sourcing Client.

VII-C.   Detailed “On the Spot” analysis of the selected “Target Companies”, which analysis may involve – but not limited to – all or part of the following Due Diligence investigations:-

Legal, Financial, Environmental, Human Resource, Quality, Capacities, Production Systems, Operational Procedures and Controls, Cost of Manufacturing, Finished Products and Services Quality Controls, etc.

VIII.   For the above detailed work AMM may involve one, some, or all of the AMM Strategic Alliance Partners as follows:

  1. Micro Analyzing and Control Procedures – by ASIAN BUSINESS SOLUTIONS
  2. Quality Control – by BALTIC CONTROL
  3. Human Resources analysis and control procedures – MANAGEMENT by EXTENSION
  4. IT Business Solutions – by eCODEUS Consulting
  5. Macro Strategic Approach analysis and recommendations – by MICRO & MACRO APPROACH - MMA
  6. Legal Due Diligence – by Legal Advice
  7. Government Relationships – by SOHOSUITE
    Whenever appropriate, Outside Consultants may also be employed to work with the AMM Strategic Alliance.

IX.   In the case of Joint Ventures and Own Set-Up complete Feasibility Studies can be prepared by the AMM Partners directly and/or in cooperation with MMA Overseas Strategic Alliance Partners.
